What Bottle Brief Does

Bottle Brief lets you snap a photo of a wine label (or type in a wine name) and get AI-powered insights like tasting notes, pricing, and reviews. It's a tool to help you learn about wine — not a substitute for professional advice.

Using the App

• You must be 18 or older to use Bottle Brief.
• You don't need an account to use the app, but you can create one if you'd like.
• Use it for its intended purpose. Bottle Brief is meant for looking up wine information. Please don't use it to abuse the service, overload our servers, or do anything illegal.
• Don't scrape or automate access. Please use the app the way it's designed to be used — not through bots, scripts, or automated tools.

AI-Generated Content

Bottle Brief is powered by generative AI. That means:

• The information may not always be accurate. Tasting notes, pricing, reviews, and other details are generated by AI agents and may contain errors or outdated information.
• Don't rely on it for purchasing decisions, health information, or allergy/dietary needs. Always check the actual bottle and consult a professional if you have concerns.
• We don't guarantee the results. The app is provided on an "as is" basis, and we can't promise that every response will be correct, complete, or available when you need it.

Your Content

When you upload a photo or type a search query, you're giving us permission to process that content through our AI services in order to return results to you. As described in our Privacy Policy, photos may be retained for up to 365 days.

You keep ownership of any photos you upload. We don't claim rights over your content beyond what's needed to operate the service.

Cost and Donations

Bottle Brief is currently free to use. If you'd like to support the project, you can do so through our Buy Me a Coffee page. (Buy Me a Coffee is only available on our web app.) Donations are voluntary and don't unlock additional features.

We may introduce paid features in the future. If we do, we'll make that clear before you're asked to pay for anything.

Account Termination

• You can delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us.
• We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. We'll try to give you notice if possible, but we reserve the right to act immediately if necessary.

Limitation of Liability

Bottle Brief is a free tool built and maintained by one person. While I do my best to keep things running smoothly:

• The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• I'm not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on AI-generated content.
• My total liability to you for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you've paid to use it (which, if you're using it for free, is zero).

Changes to These Terms

I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
